■ WHY 0 STOCK TOKYO / Sustainable Goals of Zero Stock
The modern apparel industry faces "mass disposal due to excess inventory" and "environmental problems" that accompany it. In fact, it is said that 100 billion garments are produced annually, and 1 billion of them (1% of the total) are discarded without ever being touched by human hands. In Japan alone, approximately 1 million tons are disposed of annually. 80% of discarded clothing is incinerated without being recycled, leading to the emission of vast amounts of greenhouse gases and wastewater, which has become a social issue. To solve this problem, it is necessary to deliver only the required quantity to those who need it, and 0 STOCK TOKYO, a made-to-order brand, is launched with the aim of this project and service becoming the shape of a new era.
